Squares

Finding the square of any number is really easy, you just need to-

Step 1: Divide the number to multiply with itself into 2 parts, and name the parts 'a' and 'b'.
for example, divide 29 into 2 and 9. 345 into 34 and 5 , etcetera. Notice that b should be a one digit number here. ( b needs to be a one-digit number for balancing rule in base 10. If it is a two-digit number, then balancing rule in base 100 and so on.)

Step 2: Use the formula a^2 | 2ab | b^2 and then use the balancing rule to get the answer.
If the number only has one digit, you just need to do simple multiplication.

Some Examples-
1.  36^2

2. 123^2

3. 2142^2

You can also take base as 100 and let 'a' be 21 and 'b' be 42 to get the same answer. The only difference is that, you would write down 2 digits at once instead of 1 only. (Balancing rule in base 100.)
