Vedic Maths History
With the deepest gratitude for His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja, the one who rediscovered the Vedic Maths Sutras. The word "Ved" means 'fountain head' and 'illimitable store house of the knowledge'. It implies that Vedas contain all the knowledge needed by human kind. Vedic Mathematics is an old system of mathematics to make it simple, easier and logical.
Using regular mathematical steps, solving problems sometimes are complex and time consuming. But using Vedic Maths' techniques numerical calculations can be done very fast.
Shri Bharathi Krishna Tirthaji Maharaj (1884-1960) was born in Orissa in Puri. He was a gifted scholar in subjects like mathematics, science, humanities and was excellent in Sanskrit language. His interests were also in spiritualism and mediation. In fact when he was practicing meditation in the forest near Sringeri for 8 years, where he rediscovered the 16 Vedic Sutras.
